In the “Scary Fast” Apple’s October event, Apple has introduced new Space Black 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which come with the M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. This Space Black edition is going to be a hit for fans who love Apple products in dark editions.
Apple named this newly launched MacBook Pro in Space Black a stunning dark aluminum finish, achieved through a groundbreaking anodization process that resists fingerprints. In terms of design, they maintain the same appearance and port arrangement as their predecessors but now come in a fresh “Space Black” color, replacing the previous Space Gray. This MacBook is is made from a custom alloy that uses 100% recycled aluminum and is described as exceptionally durable.
Apple also mentioned that all MacBook Pro models feature a brilliant Liquid Retina XDR display with 20% brighter SDR content, a built-in 1080p camera, an immersive six-speaker sound system, and a wide range of connectivity options.
Apple claims you can expect up to 22 hours of battery life from the new MacBook Pro, specifically in the 16-inch M3 Pro model. The screens now reach a maximum brightness of 600 nits for SDR content, which is a 20% increase compared to previous models.
The M3 Pro boasts a 12-core CPU and can go up to an 18-core GPU. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip is now available starting at $1,599. Additionally, both M3 Pro and M3 Max models are offered in Silver, while the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 comes in Silver and Space Gray, though not in Space Black.
The pricing details are as follows: the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 starts at $1,599, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Max chips start at $3,199 and $3,499 respectively. Meanwhile, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro starts at $1,999, and the 16-inch model begins at a base price of $2,499.
