Samsung today introduces its new portable SSD which comes with 8TB of storage. I want to tell you that this 8TB is the largest capacity available in the market. The T5 EVO offers solid speed in a compact design making it ideal for those looking for a sleek and compact solution.

This drive is so compact and sleek in size. If someone is looking to shift from a hard drive to an SSD and needs a large storage capacity the T5 EVO is perfect. It delivers solid speed in a compact suitable design which makes it ideal for storing and accessing files, photos, videos, and more.

The T5 EVO comes in black with a titan gray ring which gives it a premium and sleek look that naturally complements many different setups and host devices. The T5 Evo supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds for transferring data at up to 460MB/s. You might think that this is much faster than standard hard drives but let me tell you that it is slower than NVME SSDs like Samsung’s T7 and T9 series.

The New 8TB T5 EVO can hold the largest amount of data in the Samsung portable SSD portfolio. The T5 EVO can accommodate large files, videos, photos, and games, making it suitable for work and play. An 8TB T5 EVO can store more than 2 million 3.5MB photos, 1.8 million 4MB music files, or 3,500 2GB videos.

The SSD measures in at 3.74 inches in length and 1.57 inches in width, weighing 3.6 ounces. It is portable and ideal for travel.

The T5 EVO is available today at Samsung.com and to retailers with the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) of $189.99 for the 2TB, $349.99 for the 4TB, and $649.99 for the 8TB. The T5 EVO comes with a USB Type-C-to-C cable and includes a three-year limited warranty. The 8TB version of the T5 EVO SSD is priced at $650 and can be purchased from the Samsung website. Samsung also offers 2TB and 4TB versions, priced at $190 and $350, respectively.
