As we know, every big tech company is making their AI models, and they are working in the stream of AI, launching their products. How can Apple be left behind? They are also working in the AI stream, and reports suggest that Apple could spend more than $4.75 billion on AI servers in 2024.

Apple may announce AI-featured Siri and many new things next year with the launch of iOS 18. As we know, Apple always comes with proper planning and a rugged long-term product. We might see some delays, but trust me, Apple will deliver the best.

According to Kuo, he expects Apple to spend “at least” $620 million on servers in 2023 and $4.75 billion on servers in 2024.

Apple is rumored to purchase between 2,000 to 3,000 servers this year, and this number might increase to 20,000 next year. KUO suggests that these servers actually cost a lot. That’s why companies like OpenAI are working on their own AI Chips, which will definitely reduce much of the cost. Currently, Apple is purchasing servers from Nvidia’s HGX H100 8-GPU for generative AI training. Nvidia labels its H100 as an AI supercomputing platform, with each unit priced at around $250,000.

Given that these GPUs are priced at around $250,000, Apple will spend “at least” $620 million in 2023 and $4.75 billion in 2024 on AI server purchases.
